Samples must be obtained exclusively from an authorized LabCorp collection site. For matters like child support, social security, or custody disputes, DNA test results intended for legal purposes must undergo what is termed as “legal” DNA testing. Although “at-home” DNA tests yield identical information as legal ones, they are not designed for court use and are not deemed admissible in legal proceedings.
